Methodology: This study surveyed 3,012 U.S. respondents to assess which cities’ Main Street storefront owners feel most confident heading into 2026. The sample was structured to ensure balanced representation across age, gender, industry, and geographic region, capturing a nationwide snapshot of sentiment among those connected to local, street-level businesses. To maintain statistical reliability, the research followed a two-step process: stratified sampling was first used to capture demographic and regional variation, followed by post-stratification weighting to align responses with national population benchmarks based on internal data sources. Conducted in December 2025, the study provides insight into where confidence among Main Street business owners is strongest as the new year approaches.
