My journey into competitive swimming wasn’t born out of a burning desire for gold medals, but rather my mother’s quest for a peaceful tan. After joining a beach club, she decided the best way to enjoy the sun without the stress of lifeguard duty was to enroll me in lessons. As it turned out, her desire for relaxation uncovered my natural habitat; I excelled in the water, swimming competitively through my college years and collecting several meet titles along the way.

Professionally, I began my career in Speech Pathology, driven by a desire to help others find their voice. However, the relentless demands of public-facing clinical work eventually led to a pivot toward a more behind-the-scenes—and sanity-preserving—creative outlet. I transitioned into Instructional Design, where I now channel my analytical side into building robust compliance and systems training. It’s the perfect blend of my clinical background and my love for structured, efficient learning.

When the holidays roll around, I trade the swim goggles and course storyboards for a kitchen apron. I’m a dedicated holiday treat enthusiast, known for a marathon baking season that includes everything from candied pecans and pistachio bark to my signature homemade peanut butter cups. For me, there’s nothing better than a well-designed system, a fast lane, and a tray of something sweet.
